Postpartum Doula Services

The role of the postpartum doula is always different. Some families have never been around babies, have never changed a diaper and as a result, they need educational support for every aspect of helping their new baby thrive. From feeding and infant care, to how to care for the new growing family as a whole as everyone adjusts to having an additional member. Other families rely more on the non-judgmental emotional support that the postpartum doula offers. These families may hire a postpartum doula to come and sit with them, validate their experiences, and simply be a sounding board for their feelings. Still others have more practical needs – like feeding the family and having the house cleaned up a bit. Postpartum doulas can take care of the overnight duties that come with a new baby (feeding, changing, comfort care, etc.) so the new parents can get a night of restful sleep, confident that their new babies are in safe and capable hands. Postpartum support is so valuable and most families find that their doulas adapt to the families changing needs.

In addition to diaper changes and bottle feedings, nighttime doula care offers you the security to know that your little one is being cared for while you rest. This option provides you with both daytime and overnight support. In this package you can expect, six 4-hour days and two 8-hour overnights (40 hours total over two to four weeks.
